The practice of booleying involves the movement of livestock and their keepers from lowland, permanent settlements to summer pasture, usually in the uplands, where they remain generally from May to October. The simple one room huts that they built are called booleys. The remains of these dwellings can still be seen around Ireland. This collection is inspired by these stone shelters.
