Jewellery Made For Moments That Matter
Pieces created slowly, collaboratively, and entirely for you.

Some pieces of jewellery are chosen.
Others are created for moments that matter.
Commissioning a piece of jewellery is often much simpler than people imagine. A commission allows you to take part in the making of a piece that is entirely your own, shaped by your story, your taste, and the moment it represents.
It might begin with a loose idea, an unworn piece of gold in a drawer, or an image you’ve saved because something about it spoke to you.
From there, we begin a conversation and slowly shape the idea into something real.

Why Commission A Piece?
Because jewellery worn for years should feel personal.
A commissioned piece carries intention.
It reflects the moment it was made for and the person who wears it.
Many of these pieces go on to become the ones that are never taken off.

You Don’t Need To Have It All Figured Out
Many people imagine they need to arrive with a finished design.
In reality, most commissions begin with something much simpler — a feeling, a reference image, or a vague idea of what they might like.
My role is to guide the process and help translate those thoughts into a piece that feels right.
If You're Considering A Commission
It can help to think about a few things before we begin:
• What would you like made?
A ring, necklace, earrings, or bracelet.
• What styles do you naturally gravitate toward?
Minimal, sculptural, organic, textured.
• Have you seen anything that resonates with you?
Images are very helpful for understanding proportions and mood.
We never copy designs, but inspiration helps guide the direction.
• Do you have gold or silver you’d like to reuse?
Old or unworn jewellery can often be melted and incorporated into a new piece.
• What budget range feels comfortable?
This helps shape the design in a way that respects your expectations.
• Is the piece marking a particular moment?
Engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, or personal milestones.
• Do you have a specific timeline?
Handmade work takes time, so it’s useful to know if a particular date is involved.
Even if you only know one or two of these things, that’s more than enough to begin.
The Commission Process
1. Initial Email
The process begins with a simple email.
You can share ideas, inspiration images, or just describe what you’re thinking.
2. A Conversation
Once we have a sense of direction, we arrange a phone call to talk through the possibilities — materials, stones, proportions, and overall feel.
3. Design Development
I begin exploring design ideas based on our conversation.
This stage is collaborative and often involves a gentle back-and-forth as the piece evolves.
Sometimes the right design appears quickly.
Other times it develops slowly over a few conversations.
4. Deposit
Once the design is agreed, a 50% deposit secures the commission and allows work to begin in the studio.
5. Making The Piece
Your jewellery is then handmade — shaped, soldered, textured, and finished with care.
6. Completion
When the piece is finished, the remaining balance is paid before collection or delivery. Most commissions take 6-8 weeks, depending on complexity.
