The name We each carry an inner island: a core sense of self, somewhere beneath the noise, that's worth protecting and returning to. That's the feeling I want the jewellery to hold — pieces that feel like yours, that ground you a little, that you reach for without thinking.
I founded INNER ISLAND in 2015, after training through courses and internships in Canada, Scotland and Dublin. Today every piece is made by hand in my South Kilkenny studio — in small batches, or made to order for you.
How I design I'm drawn to the world around me — a stone on a beach, a child's game, the shape of an old window. Ordinary things that quietly become whole collections. I start with a simple shape and let one unexpected detail in: something to surprise you, something you keep noticing. Each collection carries its own story.
What I believe Good jewellery shouldn't cost the earth — not your money, and not the planet's. I work with recycled gold and silver, heavily plated for lasting wear, on metals kind to sensitive skin. Packaging is recycled or biodegradable. The craft is the old one — metalwork by hand — meeting the tools of now.
Made slowly. Worn often. Kept for years.
